SUPERBASE (HS) ® and SUPERTHERM ® plus ENAMOGRIP WATER BASED ®
The shingles were starting to curl from UV deterioration which is the major contributor to the failure of all roofing systems. BEFORE it started leaking a remediation system was applied. The shingles were first sealed with SUPERBASE (HS) ® which acts as a waterproofing membrane. SUPERBASE HS ® is UV controlled.
A basecoat of SUPERTHERM
® ceramic insulation applied in two coats crosshatched.
This adds an additional EFFECTIVE R19 insulation. This will eliminate any diurnal
expansion \ contraction, add another thin layer of waterproofing at 10 mils DFT
and additional UV protection at 99.5%. SUPERTHERM
® provides the added environmental benefit
of a reduced HEAT
ISLAND EFFECT.
A final topcoat of ENAMOGRIP
WATER BASED ® applied in 1 coat to give a low maintenance finish. It also
adds another thin layer of waterproofing and UV protection.
This roofing system provides TRIPLE waterproofing, thermal and UV protection.
This roofing system is warranted by the manufacturer for 20 years. In 20 years
I may add another coat or two.
