The problem here was that all the heat was being lost through the ducting and consequently was blowing cold air onto the figure skaters. In 1997 Burnaby 8 rinks personnel coated the ducting themselves and the problem was solved immediately ( and for the next 50 years or so ) as there is no deterioration of the insulation due to condensation or other moisture attacking the insulation. Their customers are happy, they are happy and therefore we're happy.
