Keerin's Hwasung Factory Floor

Previously, the floor was coated with Epoxy (Monopox). To compare the performance between Monopox and SPI products, part of the floor (200m2) where the traffic is heaviest was chosen, RustGrip was applied first and MOIST METAL GRIP ® was applied next as the top coat. MMG was used because the customer wanted to make the color grey.

Cleaning: the existing Epoxy coat was removed by grinding and then high-pressure vacuum was used to remove the debris.

Rust Grip was applied twice at 150microns.

Moist Metal Grip was then applied once at 75 microns.

RG/MMG application was found to excel in the adhesion to the concrete surface as well as in the toughness to pressure and abrasion when compared to the existing epoxy coating.
