PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
LINING
- KOTE 6000 ® is a two component, pigmented Epoxy coating which will produce a tough, yet extremely flexible coating film. This epoxy product was built to withstand the toughest acid, chemical or solvent environments.
LINING - KOTE 6000 ® has outstanding adhesion, can withstand direct impact and is resistant to water, humidity and high heat. It is made with a high molecular weight base and cure for strength and durability.
FEATURES:
Vehicle type: Amine-cured Bisphenol-based epoxy.
This is a medium molecular weight resin built with a high-performance, high-molecular weight cross linker to provide toughness, acid / solvent resistance, tremendous adhesion and stability in high heat situations.
Heat Resistance : Can withstand 400 °F (205 °C)
Does not trap air during application

Dilution: If needed, only use keytones (i.e. MIBK)

* Dry Time: Four hours to touch/overcoat window is twelve hours, or longer

* For acid environments, 60-day cure required.
* Mix ratio: 1 part curing agent to 2 parts base
* Induction period: 30 minutes @ 70°F.
TYPICAL USES:
* As a lining topcoat for acid tanks ( three coats required with 60 day cure time )
* As a lining topcoat for chemical tanks ( two coats required )
* As a lining topcoat for solvent tanks ( two coats required )
* As a lining topcoat for ballast tanks ( two coats required )
Recommended film thickness for steel, concrete or masonry :
WFT : 6 mils (wet mil gauge recommended) DFT: 3 mils EACH COAT
Dry Time: 4 hours To touch; 12+ hours To recoat
Complete cure before facing acids: 60 days

Unless Superior Products provides a written warranty of fitness for a particular use, Superior Product's sole warranty is that the product, as supplied, will meet then current sales specifications and is specific only to return of product found to be defective upon opening of container within one year. Customer's exclusive remedy and Superior's sole liability for breach of warranty is limited to refund of the purchase price or replacement of any product shown to be other than as warranted and Superior Products expressly disclaims any liability for incidental or consequential damage.
