ENAMOGRIP CLEAR

APPLICATION METHOD:
Surfaces must be clean and dry before application. Loose or flaking old paints or corrosion must be removed before applying. High pressure water-blasting is as effective as light sandblasting in removing loose or flaking surfaces if you use 5000 psi. Let surface dry completely before applying. As a rule, "a coating is only as good as the surface it covers." Grease, oil, waxy substance, dirt, etc. must be first cleaned from surfaces. Old paints can remain if bonded solidly to surfaces. ENAMOGRIP can bond to metal, masonry, wood and other porous surfaces substrates. ENAMOGRIP can be applied best by Airless sprayers using a 24-thousandth tip for a smooth, even finish. Brushes can also be used. Using a short nap roller may still trap air bubbles that would need to be brushed out.

Catalyst ratio: This is a two-part mixture. Mixed 1 part curing agent to 3 parts base. Mix on job site before application. Pot life is 6-8 hours at 77 degrees Fahrenheit ( higher temperatures accelerate reaction and reduce pot life).

Packaged unit: Shipped as a 4-gallon kit. Three gallon base in a pail with a gallon can of curing agent separate. On job site, pour the gallon of curing agent into the 3-gallon pail of base and mix to have a finished product mixture of 4 gallons.
Let set for 30 minutes, then apply.

Clean up: Solvent wash to clean equipment Use MEK or MIBK to clean equipment.
Tinting : Use ONLY 844 Series for 2 part polyurethane
Solids by volume : 45.9%
Sag test : 6 mils WFT = 240 cps +\- 5% ( viscosity )
Viscosity : 18 seconds, #4 Zane
Dry Time : 1 hour to touch / 2 hours to recoat / 4 hours to handle at 77F degrees
Cures by : Slow moisture and heat cure, non reactive
Cure Time : Warm temperatures 4 - 5 days; Cool temperatures 7 - 10 days

IMPORTANT:
All surfaces must be clean and completely free of moisture and residues of any kind. For flooring, it is preferable that the first coat is mixed 50/50 with MAK ( Methyl Amyl Keytone ) solvent to anchor then apply the top coat as normal. COMES READY TO MIX AND USE, NO NEED TO DILUTE OR THIN.

Wear skin and eye protection. Do not take internally. Avoid contact with eyes. If solution does come in contact with eyes, flush immediately with water and contact a physician for medical attention. Avoid prolonged contact with skin or breathing of spray mist. This is a flammable liquid. Keep away from flame or fire or other sources of ignition.
